1.) B&H Photo wouldn’t be closed on Saturdays. I was in NYC, Central Park West for a Maternity Session yesterday and I was looking forward to stopping in *sigh*. My 50mm 1.4 isn’t working correctly. Blasted!
2.) I would’ve posted all of my holiday photos prior to the blog’s holiday theme going down – I really was feeling festive this year (despite being decorated since September – we managed to up the ante around here a bit this season with a new 4 foot wreath – but that’s for a later blog post).
I wanted to make sure I got some of these up for family. A few random images from the holidays in no particular order.
My sister-in-law has an uncanny sense of design when it comes to decorating for the holidays. Her shelves look like they would belong in a shop…
The train! Gwen loved it.

I actually have a few shots from last year – my grandparent’s Limestone, I’ll try to dig them up when I find the time.
Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
My grandfather has been sick and is in the hospital right now.
This may very well be one of the only times I’ve seen him smile in at least a year, I’m just thankful that I managed to catch it.
Some mini-kitchen bustle in Bay Ridge
My grandmother, looking beautifully fashionable. I have to say her countertop is pretty efficient – she has a low shelf against the backsplash that I wish I had a photo of – she keeps various ingredients over the counters that she uses as she cooks. As a result of this, this photograph is of a common practice – prepping and reading what’s on the shelf.
My beautiful sisters!
Gwen, next day – playing dress up!
Grandpa Kyle looks good! Nobody looks like Gweneth!
Your grandmother is seriously styling in that sweater!
Laura, thank you for such trimmings to a wonder filled Christmas… really in an ideal world all that matters is our family..you reminded me of that true gift! I love you! I love your work!! Poppy – aka your Godmother! 🙂
