Tommy & Peggy Lindsey – Two really fabulous people that my husband and I have the pleasure of being friends with have a truly remarkable story that everyone should know – I really hope I can get one or either of them to find the time to help me add some content to this blog post by posting Tommy’s Julianne Moore story as it is pretty great to hear how she signed on.
Sidenote: Speaking of Julianne, anyone see Bazaar Sumer Fashion Issue with her on the with her on the cover? Amazing editorial photographs by Peter Lindbergh, inspired by famous art. Of these photographs, the one inspired by Egon Schiele’s Seated Woman wiht Bent Knee being my favorite.
Many of you may remember I walked a while back for Tuberous Sclerosis. Click on that link to learn more about our friends the Lindsey’s!
TSC is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form in many different organs, primarily in the brain, eyes, heart, kidney, skin and lungs. You will see it referred to both as tuberous sclerosis (TS) and tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC). Peg and Tommy Lindsey have been successful in bringing more awareness to the disorder.
Just a sprinkling of photos from that day.
Left to right – Tim Rogers, TS Alliance Manager of Community Outreach, East Coast. Sister Colleen, and fellow team member scouting the route in the early AM.
Fashionable couple at the registration table.
This family raised an incredible amount of money for this walk!
Finding that many sponsors is a huge accomplishment – and feels…well…like this!
Worn out from all of that running. Seeing these kids falling asleep makes me jealous.
My children never slept in the stroller!
The Lindseys!
Impossible to put up every photo – just wanted to add a few.
The crew responsible for putting this all together.
Next year…Jersey Shore!
A picture’s worth a thousand words! What a great day. So happy you were able to capture it…thanks again to you and all who made this day possible–Colleen
