cell phone shot of the day

My grandfather passed away.

It was a lovely service today at very beautiful Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. Green-Wood Cemetary is a National Historic Landmark. I was taken by it’s beauty.

My grandfather was very loved and leaves behind his lovely wife of 62 years, 6 children, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, all privileged to know him. You will be missed grandpa, we love you!

  • Thank you so much for your kind words, they are greatly appreciated. I will hopefully get around to posting some old scanned images of my grandparents together that I’ve only recently seen – my grandmother’s wedding dress was stunning. I never saw a photograph of it until two days ago and now I’m anxious to put something together on the blog for them.

I have many fond memories of him that I will hold dear. One of my favorites was that he used to take myself and my cousins sailing in the Hamptons on the Shinnecock Bay on a small sunfish that used to whip us around.

    Thanks again!
