Merry Everything, Blog visitors.

It’s been a great and FAST year – I apologize that Shoot-Scoop has been lagging lately. I miss blogging! The great news is the staff is growing here. Yay! Announcements and blog posts will be picking up in the new year. As well as a refreshed look for my Website, Laura Bruen, Photographer and Shoot-Scoop will be following suit. I need to post on Laura Bruen’s CATWALK Boudoir as well.

I was pretty upset that I didn’t get a chance to blog a Holiday House Tour like last year, we added some new decor and I know that Jimmy was pretty upset that I didn’t enter anywhere to win another fabulous frying pan. Sigh. No time this year. It will just have to wait to Christmas 2010.

The Studio will be closed to take some time off to spend with family and catch my breath after another whirlwind year. Studio hours will resume on January 5 @ 10 a.m. Unless it’s an absolute photographic emergency, calls and emails will be returned at that time. Galleries expiring during this period have been extended. Order fulfillment will continue for orders that will be coming in – I will still be shipping.

I’m SO looking forward to 2010! I wish you all nothing but the Happiest of Holidays and a Happy, Healthy PROSPEROUS 2010!

I haven’t won anything in a very, very long time. I won a Samsonite when I was 10 while away for my late grandfather’s business trip for Potash Company of America. I did, for a few nights in a row, win NY’s pick 3 numbers about 15 years ago – don’t know what happened after that, I lost my winning streak…until now.

I’m proud to announce that the Bruen household won the Blissfully Domestic FIRST EVER Holiday Lights Contest! We are now the proud owner of this:

gifts & parties!

I love giving gifts. I had to put up a quick post to say “Thank You” to two fabulous clients that gave me some extremely thoughtful gifts this holiday.

Of course, I open the box and realize this is right up my alley!

Don’t you think it looks quite lovely on my checkerboard table I have in my foyer, which can be seen in my Holiday House Tour?

Handpainted, I love it. HUGE thanks to Kelly & Mike for their thoughtful gift! I’ll be sure to mix this bad boy up and post a drink review when I get a chance. I’m always looking for new drink ideas for parties.

Next, three beautiful ornaments from the Gravier family. At the conclusion of our last session, we had a discussion about how fabulous it is that I get to experience other’s children in a very unique way. Paulina and Christian attended my party and showed up with three ornaments that resembled each of their children. Such a thoughtful and unique gift. I love these!

I must’ve had my camera out for a total of 19 seconds the night of our holiday party, and snapped the same guy, our buddy Vinny, for those 19 seconds. OK, I did get a*couple* other guests but not nearly as many as I would’ve liked to!
