the cammarata family

My friends, the Cammarata Family invited me to their home in Staten Island for some candid Family Portraits. Meet Francesca. By far, one of the most beautiful and perfectly shaped heads I have seen! Daddy’s and their girls always make me smile. So do Mommy’s and their daughters Grandmothers and their Granddaughters… Great grandmothers &…

Wow. It’s really profound when you read about those that are affected personally by 9/11. My heart goes out to them.

What a beautiful family. Adorable kids 😉 Beautiful photographs. ReplyCancel

Love these photos – especially the one of the parents underneath the painting laughing with their heads together and the close shot of the entire family!ReplyCancel

the lemishev family

A few favorites from a recent holiday session! The session was a condensed holiday session without the traditional holiday decor. We were fortunate to have some good weather – so we did end up getting some great outdoor shots. Here are two sets of some of the prettiest eyes on the planet!  She’s stunning!  Giving…

In the time leading up to our shoot, I know I started to drive Laura nuts. Can’t have too Holiday-ey, don’t want this, can’t have that. Finally she said “Just tell me what you want”, and all I had was “Shoot them how I see them” and she nailed it.

It’s not always so easy to take the pictures you want of your own children. They usually bum rush you or want the camera to see the pictures, or even take their own.

Our time spent with Laura was actually fun. (We all remember those family portraits from when we were little that were torture.) We got to play with our children, and got some amazing shots of our kids and a few family shots that rock too.

Laura you were so much fun to work with. We had a great time and you delivered on all our, ok my, requests. You are so talented and we wish you nothing but the best in everything you do. I know that everyone will be as happy as we are with the outcome of their sessions.

Now to the selection process which isn’t as easy as taking the pictures :~)ReplyCancel

the g family

I am taking some time this week to get back on track, so be ready for an influx of blog posts to bring me up to date – and make sure you say hello if you’re visiting! I spent a day with the G family in November – they have three amazingly beautiful children and…

This was the first professional session for our family and I’m so glad I waited to find Laura! She captured natural shots of the kids, our house, the property, and even us parents, which truly showed the personality of our family. Always what I had hoped for and more. I can’t stop looking at the pictures (which of course we are so anxious to frame) and especially the DVD. Maybe I’m getting old and sappy, but I really do cry every time – all good!

    Thank you for the memories!
