snow day

Friday it snowed here.

I was excited because I have only seem glimpses of snowflakes this year. We did not get a good snow and we were in need of it. Definitely not how I remember growing up and it’s sad. I will admit that it becomes a sloppy mess and a hazard after the first snow fall, not to mention the possibility of a back-breaking-shoveling experience, but it’s very calm outside and feels just so – dense. Such an ahhhh feeling!

Jim and I recently were having a conversation about how Emma, now 4 1/2, had not seen a good snow since she was 2.

Last year it snowed a lot only one day, and then pounded another 2 inches of ice over it – it was very dangerous as some may remember. It was a mess and we didn’t get out there last year.

This year was different. Friday’s cell phone shot of the day was correct, we got those kids out in the snow.

Introducing (drum roll please)

“Princess Snowflake”

(we had to convince her to use the “tiara” as her “mouth” – it was starting to rain!)

Gwen was not very happy in the snow.
