the lemishev family

A few favorites from a recent holiday session! The session was a condensed holiday session without the traditional holiday decor. We were fortunate to have some good weather – so we did end up getting some great outdoor shots. Here are two sets of some of the prettiest eyes on the planet!  She’s stunning!  Giving…

In the time leading up to our shoot, I know I started to drive Laura nuts. Can’t have too Holiday-ey, don’t want this, can’t have that. Finally she said “Just tell me what you want”, and all I had was “Shoot them how I see them” and she nailed it.

It’s not always so easy to take the pictures you want of your own children. They usually bum rush you or want the camera to see the pictures, or even take their own.

Our time spent with Laura was actually fun. (We all remember those family portraits from when we were little that were torture.) We got to play with our children, and got some amazing shots of our kids and a few family shots that rock too.

Laura you were so much fun to work with. We had a great time and you delivered on all our, ok my, requests. You are so talented and we wish you nothing but the best in everything you do. I know that everyone will be as happy as we are with the outcome of their sessions.

Now to the selection process which isn’t as easy as taking the pictures :~)ReplyCancel

the ratsey family

It is very flattering when people travel from afar to visit me! Afar being a relative term – as of late I’ve had two visits from other states and I have another flying in this week!!! I’ve known Susan for many, many years – we actually had the same Reem Acra gown for our wedding…

It was AWESOME to finally meet you and your family. We had such a blast, and coffee and cookies to BOOT!! I’m passing your name on to EVERYONE I know with confirmation that you are truly worth the 2 1/2 hour drive it took to get to you 🙂
You’re so gifted Laura. We adore the pictures and can’t wait to hang them in our home. Good luck with the permits. Some people REALLY need to mind their own (rolling my eyes)
    Kisses!! xxx

The DiMaggio Family recently welcomed Maria Anna to the world.  I was called to take some Staten Island Family Portraits. I really enjoyed sharing these moments with this warm & loving family. You know I had to post a comment here – and even though I think I’ve told you about a million times… I have to say it again for the whole world to see… OH MY GOD!!!! My family is in absolute amazement by these pictures. Angelo and Gracelynn were so happy to have had this session done, and the pics that they got from it – well – words can’t describe what it means to them! You captured everything about them in these photos. This is how my family is – always smiling and laughing and just basically HAPPY people! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!ReplyCancel
